Breast Science & Education
From breast anatomy and augmentation technology to clinical trials, tissue expanders, fat transfer, lactation biology, and the physics of extreme implant volumes — BoobLab covers it all, educationally.

Core Science
Breasts are among the most complex and hormonally dynamic structures in the human body. BoobLab explores the science behind their anatomy, the biology of lactation, how augmentation surgery works, the engineering of implants, and the frontier technologies currently in clinical trials.
Anatomy
The ductal system, glandular tissue, Cooper's ligaments, and why breasts change dramatically throughout life.
Surgery
Silicone vs saline, placement options, sizing in cc, and what surgeons consider for very large volumes.
Reconstruction
How expanders gradually stretch the skin and muscle to create space for large permanent implants.
Extreme Volumes
The science of 1,000cc+, 2,000cc+, and documented cases up to 4,700cc — risks, anatomy, and surgical considerations.
Natural Augmentation
Autologous fat grafting to the breast — what it achieves, its limits, and how it compares to implants.
Future Science
The implant technologies currently in FDA trials and what next-generation breast augmentation might look like.

Implant Science
The vast majority of breast augmentations use implants between 150cc and 800cc. But a small number of patients — and a smaller number of surgeons — work at extreme volumes: 1,000cc, 2,000cc, 3,000cc and beyond. The largest documented cosmetic implants reach 10,000cc — held by Foxy Menagerie Verre.
These extreme volumes require specific surgical planning: typically multiple staged procedures using tissue expanders to gradually stretch the skin, subcutaneous tissue, and underlying muscle over months or years before placing the final implant. The physiological effects — on posture, skin, musculature, and long-term health — are significant and extensively documented.
Chimera Costumes — cosplay creator Heidi Lange — has 4,700cc implants (among the largest in the cosplay world) and documents her experience publicly. Her work provides a real-world reference point for the lived experience of extreme-volume augmentation.
Breast Health & Biology
Breasts serve complex biological functions well beyond their appearance. The science of lactation, the dramatic hormonal changes of pregnancy, breast health screening, and the relationship between breast size and physical health are all covered here.
Biology
The biology of milk production, hormonal triggers, ductal anatomy, and how augmentation affects lactation.
Pregnancy
How breasts change from the first trimester through postpartum — size, anatomy, and hormonal drivers.
Health
Self-examination, screening, density, and what every person should understand about breast health.
Physics
How breast weight is calculated, what 4,700cc weighs, and the biomechanics of very large breasts.
Biomechanics
The documented relationship between breast weight, spinal load, and posture — and what helps.
Safety
BIA-ALCL, capsular contracture, rupture, and the full safety profile of modern breast implants.
